In town for the weekend staying in one of our Brisbane city suites? Have we got some fun spots for you to check out! 2017 has seen a number of hip new bars pop up in the city, so here are some of the best bars in Brisbane’s CBD to look out for in the coming months.
Newstead Brewing Milton
Sports fans, rejoice! If you’ve just stepped out of a game at Suncorp Stadium and are looking to wet your whistle, Newstead Brewing is just across the street. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to craft beers and cider on tap, including their house-made Newstead brews. The menu here provides the perfect companion food for your beer, with share plates, pizzas and burgers on offer.
Why not enjoy a game of pinball with your pinot gris? At Netherworld it’s all about games, drinks and food, and the three go together perfectly. With arcade games, pinball machines and board games in a highly competitive environment plus a menu of delicious American and Japanese inspired food from the diner, it’s easy to while away an evening improving on your high score here.
Boogie on down to one of our favourite new spots in Brisbane, where you’ll find a speakeasy vibe and a hip crowd sipping on single malt and bespoke cocktails. Stay for a drink before dinner or settle in for market fish and duck dishes. The bartenders are award winning and the atmosphere is fantastic. Question is, will you find the secret whiskey den through the wardrobe door?
OK, so X Cargo technically isn’t open yet but it soon will be. This new space definitely has Brisbane talking. A chic collection of shipping containers will form the basis of an open-air environment for catching up, eating and drinking. Think food trucks, an outdoor cinema and rooftop terraces designed to make the most of the perfect Brissie weather. We can’t wait to check this one out!
