Runners from all walks of life are gearing up to join the Brisbane Times City2South fun-run in Brisbane on Sunday, June 15.
This year, a new 5km course is on offer, designed to make it easier for families and first-timers.
The full 14km course winds across the scenic Brisbane River three times, over the Victoria, Go Between and Eleanor Schonell bridges.
Contestants will set off from Parliament House and head out along Coronation Drive to the lovely University of Queensland campus, back over Highgate ‘Heartbreak’ Hill, and on to the finishing zone in Musgrave Park where a festive atmosphere will greet them!
Near the front at the starting line will be any runners who have opted to run for charity. A long list of charities is available to choose from, which should get the heart pumping – in both senses of the word ‘heart’.
The run is sponsored by Westpac. Enter at www.city2south.com.au.
