Here’s something that might tempt you to book those flights to Sydney…Good Food Month is set to hit town in October, bringing with it the most delicious abundance of flavours you will ever experience. There are dozens of events set across the city from boozy brunches to delicate fine dining, so let’s take a look at what’s on and what you can prepare your tastebuds for in 2017.
Central Sydney Good Food events
You really can take a trip around the world with the cuisines at Good Food Month this year.
Begin with a Caribbean-inspired feast at Calypso Dreams on 4 October, then ample over to the food festival’s iconic Night Noodle Markets with over 40 stalls of spicy, sweet and surprising flavours from 5-22 October. Sydney meets Tokyo at Sokyo, a night of great music, whiskey cocktails and Japanese canapes, while each Saturday and Sunday you could be enjoying bottomless strawberry and basil mimosas along with delectable fare at Unlimited Mimosa Brunch.
Reserve a suite at our central Campbell, Kent or Pitt Street accommodation or at World Tower, and you’ll be able to roll home to a sumptuous bed each evening after you’ve had your fill.
Good Food events in Parramatta
The fun doesn’t stop for foodies once you leave the CBD. Over in western Sydney, Parramatta’s hidden laneways are lit up over four nights from 10 to 13 October. From 5pm each evening you can wander amongst live music, art installations and an incredible array of gourmet food trucks scattered throughout the city. It’s a joy to discover a performance down a laneway or to stumble upon an exciting blend of cuisines in one dish. All of this is just a short walk from our luxurious short term accommodation in Parramatta on Church or George Street, so why not make a week of it? From both of these locations you can easily enjoy Parramatta’s events and also take a leisurely ferry trip into the CBD for all the city treats you’d like to experience.
