Sage on Ann is in the heart of the city and serves Di Bella’s ali reserve coffee, winner of the Golden Bean Award for best coffee in Australia 2009/10. Breakfasts are your usual favourites, and the decor is simple and fresh.

You know a place serves good coffee when the queue is a mile long during rush hour. If you can get past the wait, the certified organic 100% Arabica local coffee at Queen Bean is delicious and the service good.
Breakfast consists of the usual favourites, such as banana bread, bircher muesli, and egg and bacon muffins.

For the second year in a row, Australia has voted Merlo as its favourite coffee, with the Brisbane-based roasters winning the People’s Choice Award in the 2014 I Love Food Awards. Not only do they supply more than 1,000 cafes with coffee across the state, they also serve up the freshest coffee in town from their Bar Merlo espresso bars.

Chocolate Soldier is a vibrant haven to enjoy your favourite ground bean, leaf tea, or deliciously mouthwatering treat. With a decor that’s influenced by traditional Parisian coffee houses, Chocolate Soldier serves up silky smooth coffee and a delicious range of pastries.

Alen’s Espresso purports itself to be “not just another coffee”, and Alen and Judy stick to this by using the latest coffee machine technology. But it’s not just the coffee that keeps the locals coming back. The attention to detail, the warm smiling faces, and the attentiveness of service is what makes this place a favourite.

For quick tasty food on the run, you can’t go past Saks Gourmet Sandwiches, which serve up a wide range of sandwiches and turkish breads, smoothies, low fat yoghurts and of course delicious coffee.

If you’re a seeker of fine coffee it’s well worth the trip to Fortitude Valley, where one block from the station you’ll find Fifth Battery Coffee Roasters. Set within a World War II bunker, it makes for one funky little cafe. You’ll be greeted with large murals, stained glass, wire mesh, and unique curved ceilings. The outdoor area feels as though you are sitting in an aviary, but inside you get to watch as the staff roast their own coffee beans before grinding.

The baristas at Bar Mondo have been carefully selected and even better trained to ensure the Campos coffee is expertly made. The barista team is fiercely loyal, and it’s reflected in the quality of your coffee.
