- There’s an app for that – There are plenty of apps you can download to your smartphone or tablet that will help you solve any travel dilemmas that may arise. There are also apps for helping you locate Wi-Fi, check for alternative flights and even track your own flight delays.
- Use the lay-over as an opportunity – Use this extra time to work on the office ‘to do’ list. To be prepared, take a few pending assignments with you in your carry on.
- Flight delay? Visit a prospective client or business contact – If you have a few extra hours up your sleeve use the opportunity to see if a local business contact or client is available for a meeting. Face to face meetings can be great for boosting business.
- Sleeping rooms – If you don’t like the idea of sleeping in an uncomfortable chair, you may want to find out if the airport has a sleeping room. Some do, and even if you aren’t a member of the airport club you should be able to access the area for a fee.
