What to Do with a Weekend on the Gold Coast
7 June 2014
There’s lots to see and do on the Gold Coast, but if you’re just heading up for the weekend, TNT Downunder have some clever itinerary suggestions to make sure you get all of the best bits in:
Once you arrive and have settled in, head over to Tiger Moth Scenic Flights to take in the region from above and have some fun in the sky. If you aren’t into acrobatics in the air, don’t stress. They’ve got plenty of cruising tours to enjoy aswell.
In the afternoon you could head out for a stand-up paddle boarding lesson with Brad Holmes Surf Coaching. Use it as exercise or just a chance to chill, it’s up to you.
On day two, head out for a swim before jumping on the Paradise Jet Boating super shuttle which will take you to the Jet Boat. This is seriously fun and if you haven’t woken up just yet, you’ll be wired by the end of the ride!
For the rest of the day it’s time to explore the famous Gold Coast theme parks. If it’s really hot, Wet ‘n’ Wild is the way to go.
On your last day, you need to get out and explore the hinterland. There’s so many national parks in this region and wonderful hiking trails and lookout points. Pack a water bottle and lace up your sneakers and head toWitches Falls National Park andCedar Creek Falls. Mt Tamborine is a real highlight.
