2 Seriously Quirky But Cool Gold Coast Restaurants
15 June 2014
The Gold Coast is a hub of activity for travellers and tourists so restaurants can do some quirky things to stand out from the crowd. Here are 2 of the Gold Coast’s weird restaurants you should really experience! Bazaar
7 Staghorn Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD
Bazaar is unique as it tries to recreate an interactive food marketplace, with a classy twist. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this dining experience is all about seeing and smelling your meal before it’s made – so you know it’s fresh! As you walk through the dining room, you’ll see chefs hard at work, with fresh produce laid out around them. Speak to each of the chef’s about their meals and they will express their passion for their craft. You are free to meander between dishes but help is always on hand in the form of expert wait staff to guide you on your food journey.
For something a little dark and creepy, nothing beats Dracula’s Cabaret Restaurant on the Gold Coast. You need to go on a ride through the haunted house before your meal, but once you arrive you’ll be treated to dishes to die for – with names like ‘Silence of the Lambs’ and ‘Death by Chocolate’. Then there’s a cabaret style show to finish (and kid’s shows on Saturday’s so the whole family can come along). You’ll feel like you’re in the Rocky Horror Picture Show with all the burlesque outfits and gothic interiors!
