Celebrate in style this New Year’s Eve with Meriton Suites!

To ensure your stay at Meriton Suites is an enjoyable and stress-free occasion, we have provided some additional information for your stay during the festive season. Pre-payment for the night of 31st December 2020 will be required.

You will receive an email from us within 2 business days requesting prepayment of the accommodation amount for the night of 31st December 2020. This will need to be done within 48-hours of receiving the email. Failure to pay within this timeframe will result in the reservation being cancelled.

Cancellations and amendments are permitted before:

  • 2pm, 24th December 2020 for bookings made for hotels in New South Wales
  • 2pm, 24th December 2020 for bookings made for hotels in Queensland

Any cancellations or amendments made after the above dates receive no refunds or credits. For any additional nights booked, payment and cancellations terms are noted on your confirmation.

The above terms and conditions may differ if you have booked through a third party website, these terms will be stated on your confirmation from their website.


ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE

Check-in/arrival time is from 14:00 (2:00PM). We allow guests to arrive earlier and to store any luggage until the suite is ready. Check-out/departure time is prior to 10:00 (10:00AM) – late check-out after this time may incur an extra night’s charge. If the hotel is fully committed on the departure date, late departures or extensions not already confirmed will not be permitted.


BONDS/ CREDIT CARD PRE-AUTHORISATION

For all bookings, a refundable bond is required upon arrival. And covers any damage or theft of hotel property that may occur to the suite/s during the occupied dates.

A full inspection of all suites will be conducted by hotel management after each guest departs to determine if there is any damage or theft. Excessive cleaning charges may also be taken out of the bond if deemed necessary by hotel management. The bond refund will be processed 24 Hours within the final guests departs and any outstanding amounts owing are paid in full.

We may pre-authorise a credit card for any charges we deem appropriate for the length of stay. Please ensure you have sufficient funds to cover additional incidentals for this purpose.


CAR PARKING

Car parking facilities are available at all locations except for Campbell St, Sydney and Sussex Street, Sydney. Car parking cannot be pre-arranged or reserved as it is on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event the car park is full; our reception staff will help find alternate arrangements. (Parking is strictly limited, especially at Adelaide St & Herschel St in Brisbane). Additional parking fees apply. For specific information on hotel car parking, please click here.

You agree to enter the car park at your own risk. Meriton Suites does not accept any responsibility for damages or loss to your property or property belonging to someone else.

Street parking, when available, is regularly patrolled by the local authorities and we accept no responsibility if you choose to park off-site.


CARD PAYMENT SURCHARGE

A card surcharge applies to all payments made by card. This amount will be applied at the time of payment and is in addition to the nightly rates. The surcharges are as follows:

  • 1.75% applies to VISA, Mastercard and Union Pay cards.
  • 3.15% applies to American Express, JCB and Diners Club cards.

Please note that card surcharges may change at any time.


EVICTION OF A GUEST

Meriton Suites may evict a guest or visitors without warning. Guests who are evicted from a hotel will be blacklisted from all Meriton Suites locations and we may choose to notify the police. A guest is subject to such eviction should the following (but not limited to) occur;

  • Intoxication and unsavoury behaviour
  • Overcrowding – when the number of persons in the suite exceeds the capacity (see maximum capacity per suite table)
  • Physical or verbal assault towards hotel representatives, residents or other guests
  • Wilful damage to Meriton Suites property
  • Any incident for which the police need to be called onto the premises
  • Any behaviour posing a safety threat to others
  • Ignoring advice to reduce excessive noise (music or other noise)
  • Throwing of objects over the suite balconies or from windows
  • Smoking within the suite (a cleaning and deodorizing fine will also apply)

GUEST COURTESY

For the comfort of all our guests, we ask that noise is kept to a minimum so everyone can enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay. We request that any non-registered visitors leave all suites by 23:00 (11pm) each evening. Please also extend this courtesy to our neighbours when entering and exiting the building or car park.

Please note, rollaway beds are available at all of our hotels upon request. Please be advised there is only limited availability so cannot be guaranteed until you check-in.

PENTHOUSE SUITES

A (refundable) credit card charge of $AU2,000 (Australian dollars) applies in addition to the accommodation amount due at check-in/arrival for all penthouse suite bookings. The credit card charge will be refunded at check-out/departure after an inspection of the suite is completed by a hotel representative deemed in the same condition at the time of check-in/arrival.


PHOTO IDENTIFICATION

Valid photo identification (ID) matching the name of the main guest within the booking must be presented at time of check-in/arrival. This is required in order to verify your identity for hotel security purposes. A valid Australian driver’s license, Australian issued proof of age card or an international passport are all acceptable forms of photo identification. As per our privacy policy, any personal information contained on the collected identification will not be on-sold; will be securely stored and carefully disposed of at the end of its usefulness.

Whilst we aim to meet all special requests, these cannot be guaranteed. Please ensure you advise our reservations team prior to arrival if you wish to make any special requests for your stay. SPECIFIC VIEW / SUITES / FLOORS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.


TRAVEL INSURANCE

We highly recommend all our guests to have an appropriate level of travel insurance. Travel insurance can be arranged by many travel agents.
