A Guide to a Tropical Queensland Road Trip
31 May 2014
Queensland is the perfect place to relax and enjoy stunning beaches. But did you know it’s also got some incredible road tripping routes too? News.com.au reported that the Queensland coastal drive is something you don’t want to miss out on the next time you head to the sunshine state.
Start your drive by heading north from Brisbane’s CBD and set your GPS for Cleveland. This stunning coastal town looks over Morton Bay and is the perfect place to stop while you wait for a ferry to North Stradbroke Island.
Stradbroke is the second biggest sand island in the world. Even if you decide to stop your trip here to give yourself the opportunity to be immersed in its beauty, we don’t blame you.
4WD’s are ideal for driving around North Stradbroke, but just ensure you get your permit first. While there, make sure you visit Point Lookout, it’s an iconic spot and breathtakingly beautiful.
Once you’ve completed your trip to North Stradbroke, it’s back on the ferry to the mainland. Next stop on your Queensland coastal trip is Noosa.
Make sure you bring your camera. The incredible scenery and beach expanses are something you’re going to want to capture and remember forever on this road trip adventure!
